Is adversity an advantage? Sometimes it can feel like the deck is stacked against you… but what if that is actually an opportunity to step into becoming your best self? Today’s guest, Chris Norton, personifies the adversity advantage. He believes taking radical responsibility for yourself can allow you to unlock the “power to stand.” Chris was told that he had a 3% chance of ever regaining movement and feeling below the neck. What sounded completely hopeless, he saw as an opportunity to conquer and to step into being the 3%.

This is how we start a movement, we start with a pebble that causes ripples. When you stand for what you believe in, those ripples expand and grow. It starts with you. It sounds inspiring, but the truth is: it can be a little difficult and scary. In today’s episode I’m talking about how we can make sure we stay aligned with our values --even when it means going against the status quo and feeling uncomfortable because you are living in a way that’s different from the rest of society. Today I am taking a stand for what I believe.

Is it selfish to go after my big dreams and goals? That’s almost always the first question I get when I talk about living on purpose. We women are used to making sure everyone is taken care of before we worry with ourselves. What if we could turn that around? What if we could let go of feeling selfish so that we actually could make the impact we want in the world around us? Today’s episode will inspire you to rethink self-care and reframe how you show up for yourself.

What does it mean to be extraordinary? When the pandemic hit in March of 2020, people around the world began questioning if they were living their lives to the fullest. In today’s episode we’ll define purpose and how that looks in your everyday life, how to break the patterns of life on repeat, whether your job needs to be tied directly to your purpose and we’ll talk about how our stress affects our children and why the “good ole days” really didn’t feel that great in the moment.
